No casualties were reported in the said accident. The said incident happened on Friday (19th May) at around 7.00 pm.

The injured persons have been identified as driver Suresh Govind Date (58), a resident of Kathapur, taluka Shirur, and Narayan Doke (50), a resident of Shingave, taluka Ambegaon.

Due to the construction of another new bridge next to this bridge, the water in the river bed was blocked at a distance of 30 to 40 from the bridge. So there was no water in the riverbed near the bridge. This has saved both lives.

According to the information given by the police in this regard, a four-wheeler from Shingave Ashtavinayak Road was crossing the Pargaon bridge over the Ghoda River at high speed. The driver lost control of the vehicle and the four-wheeler flipped over the bridge twice and fell into the river bed.

The driver of the vehicle, Suresh Date, has been seriously injured meanwhile Narayan Doke was slightly injured. Both have been admitted to a private hospital and are undergoing treatment. Their lives were saved as the height of the bridge at the beginning was low and there was no water in the river near the bridge.
