One Person Dead, 5 Injured In Accident On Pune-Mumbai Expressway
Lonavala, 19th May 2023: A car accident occurred at approximately 3 am today near the Urse toll plaza on the Mumbai-Pune expressway, resulting in one fatality and injuries to five individuals.
According to police, the collision took place when a speeding car crashed into a stationary Eicher Tempo. The impact of the rear-end collision was severe, causing extensive damage to the front of the car.
One young girl lost her life at the spot of the accident. The injured victims were promptly attended to by the patrolling team of IRB and Highway Traffic Police, who provided necessary assistance and arranged for their immediate transfer to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The exact cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
