Pune College Student Found Dead in Hostel Room in Apparent Suicide
Pune,15th May 2023: Tragedy struck the Social Justice Department hostel in Vishrantwadi as a 21-year-old student took his own life by hanging in his room on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Vijay Nangre, a resident of Moha in Gangakhed taluka in the Parbhani district of Maharashtra. The shocking discovery was made on Monday morning when Vijay’s lifeless body was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his study area within the hostel. Vijay, a second-year Arts student at Modern College, left behind a note that has been seized by the police. Initial investigations suggest that Vijay had been battling depression in recent days.
This unfortunate incident follows a previous suicide attempt by Vijay, who had previously tried to end his life by jumping into the Bhima river. The Vishrantwadi police have registered a case of accidental death in connection with the incident and are conducting further inquiries.
