Pune: Works Worth Rs 2,100 Crores Approved During First Month Of New Financial Year; Commissioner Vikram Kumar Sets Record
Pune, 28th April 2023: In the first month of the financial year, the Municipal Commissioner has given financial approval for works worth Rs 2,100 crores. The Municipal Commissioner has appointed a financial committee to curb the extravagance of development works in the administrative work. Therefore, tenders are issued only for development works approved by this committee.
However, often late approval in the committee creates difficulties for urgent work. Therefore, for the first time, Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar has set a new record by approving all the works in the first month of the financial year. So, the administration has started the preparation of the pre-calculation sheet of works immediately resulting in the completion of the tender process.
These works approved by the Municipal Commissioner include revenue of Rs 1,240 crore and capital works of Rs 890 crore.
