Pune: Newlywed Dies In Accident On Sinhagad Road
Pune, 26th April 2023: On Monday morning, a speeding dumper hit a two-wheeler while overtaking it on Sinhagad road. The accident occurred near Kirkatwadi junction and resulted in the death of a newly married woman.
The deceased has been identified as Shivani Shailesh Patil, a 24-year-old resident of Swapnapurti Heights in Kirkatwadi. Shivani was on her way to work with her husband when the dumper hit their bike, causing them both to fall on the road. Tragically, the wheel of a water tanker travelling in the opposite direction ran over Shivani’s head, causing her death on the spot.
The incident was captured by CCTV and has left the community in shock. The drivers of the dumper and the water tanker fled the scene after the accident, and the police are currently searching for them.
