Pune: PCMC Invites Citizens Feedback For Transformation Of Road From Dapodi To Nigdi
Pune, 25th April 2023: In the heart of Pimpri Chinchwad lies the highway from Dapodi to Nigdi, which is on the verge of an enchanting transformation that will forever change the way commuters navigate the bustling city.
The rapid urbanization that has gripped the city has made it imperative for the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) to explore alternative public transport options. As a result, the city’s governing body has undertaken the task of constructing a public transport and non-motorized transport network and a comprehensive infrastructure that will undoubtedly be a marvel to behold.
With meticulous planning, the main road that snakes from Dapodi to Nigdi is being reimagined as a breathtaking expanse, complete with continuous pedestrian paths and cycling lanes that will cater to the needs of the citizens. The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation is leaving no stone unturned in its quest to improve the Dapodi to Nigdi service road and internal highway, creating a seamless flow of traffic that is both safe and efficient.
Citizens are being urged to lend their voice to the cause, and the Municipal Corporation intends to incorporate their suggestions in the final plan. The current status of the proposed plan for Merge in and Merge out facilities that allow access to the highway from the service road and vice versa can be viewed on the Municipal Corporation website and Smart City Website App.
It is the fervent hope of the Municipal Corporation that the citizens of Pune will take an active interest in the development of this transformative project. Pramod Ombase, executive engineer, said that the work will be completed within 15 days of receiving feedback from the citizens.
