Pune: Youth Stabbed To Death At Kamshet Railway Station Premises, Accused Arrested
Maval, 24th April 2023: A young man was brutally stabbed to death with a sharp weapon in Kamshet railway station premises, and the police have arrested one person in connection with the case.
The deceased has been identified as Vijay Satu Bhondve, a 22-year-old resident of Bhajegaon, Taluka Maval, District Pune. The accused, Santosh Mahadev Ghate, has been arrested, and the police are currently searching for his accomplices.
According to police, Bhondve was standing on the platform when Ghate and his two to three accomplices attacked him with a sharp weapon. Bhondve sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital but died before treatment.
Sub-Divisional Police Officer of Lonavla Division, Satyasai Karthik, visited the incident site and instructed the investigation team to immediately investigate and apprehend the killers. The investigation team, led by Police Inspector Sanjay Jagtap of Kamshet Police Station, ASI Abdul Sheikh and policemen Sameer Sheikh, Ganesh Taware, Suhas Satpute, Doiphode, Sudhir Ghare, among others, started the investigation, leading to the arrest of Santosh Ghate.
A case has been registered by the Government Railway Police (GRP), and the police are continuing their investigation to apprehend the remaining accomplices in the case.
