Bal Mela starts off Sadhu Vaswani’s 51st Anniversary [Mahayagna] program at Sadhu Vaswani Mission

Rev. Sadhu Vaswani’s 51st Mahayagna started off with Dada Mela-an elaborate fun-fair organized for the needy children Sadhu Vaswani Mission on Saturday, January 7, 2017.

It was on January 16, 1966, the Founder of the Mission, Sadhu Vaswani’s life came to a close in the city of Pune. A saint and a sage, a rishi and a sufi, a scholar and an orator, a poet and a preacher, a philosopher and a philanthropist, an educationist and a writer had breathed his last. Since then, the holy remains of Sadhu Vaswani are enshrined in the Sacred Samadhi (Shrine) at Sadhu Vaswani Mission, Pune. 

Events are being held on January 15th, 16th and 17th this year, revolving around The Shrine of Sadhu Vaswani.

1) Sunday, January 15, 2017 –

Evening 6.30 pm – DAUD – The race of Life – A contemporary stage presentation in HINGLISH & Question-Answer Session with Rev. Dada J.P. Vaswani

2) Monday, January 16, 2017 –

5.30 am – Twilight Procession (Prabhat Pheri) – In the twilight hours of the morning, a procession of people singing bhajan and kirtan, sets out through the streets of Camp, Pune. It features Sadhu Vaswani’s float and will start and end at his Sacred Samadhi.

12.00 Noon – Kirtan, Satsang at Sacred Kutiya of Sadhu Vaswani.

6.30 pm – Sadhu Vaswani’s Recorded Talk and Rev. Dada J. P. Vaswani’s Talk in Sindhi.

10.30 pm to 12.30 am – Vigil of Nuri-Anjali Sangeet in the glory of Sadhu Vaswani

3) Tuesday, January 17, 2017 –

10.30 am – Daridra-Narayan Seva – Service of the poor, where they are brought into the Mission Campus for a sumptuous meal – as Sadhu Vaswani taught that “service of the poor is worship of God”.

11.30 am – Yagna, Recitations of Scriptures, Kirtan, Service of the disabled & the aged

1.00 pm – Fellowship Meals called Guru Langar where thousands come and sit to eat together – even Rev. Dada J. P. Vaswani sits amongst all the devotees to partake in the ‘Guru Langar’

5.15 pm – Havan & Prayers at Sadhu Vaswani’s Sacred Samadhi (The time of his funeral)

6.30 pm – Procession of Lights called Deepak Yatra: From the Sacred Samadhi to Sadhu Vaswani Chowk

6.45 pm – Play with scenes from the life of Sadhu Vaswani & Sadhu Vaswani’s Recorded Talk

8.15 pm – Prayers at Sadhu Vaswani’s Sacred Samadhi

In reminiscence of the Great Master, Rev Dada J. P. Vaswani, the current head of Sadhu Vaswani Mission, says, “Centuries hence people will marvel that a man like Sadhu Vaswani trod this earth. In his heart there was no sense of separation. He saw the One Light in all religions, the One wisdom in all scriptures, the One inspiration in all saints of humanity. He taught that it was the duty of man to make the world more beautiful by breathing out peace to all and spending all he had in the service of those in need.”
