Fatal Accident On Old Mumbai-Pune Highway; Rs Five Lakh Aid Announced To Relatives Of Deceased

Pune, 15th April 2023: There has been a terrible accident on the old Pune Mumbai highway as a private bus fell into a ravine. 12 to 13 people died in this accident. Taking cognizance of this incident, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has announced an aid of Rs five lakhs to the relatives of those who died in the accident. It has been informed that the injured will be treated at the expense of the government.

The accident took place around 4.00 am near the Shingroba temple in Borghat around Lonavala. CM Eknath Shinde has expressed grief over this. He also announced an aid of Rs five lakh each from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to the relatives of the deceased in this unfortunate incident.

Meanwhile, CM Shinde immediately contacted the Collector and Superintendent of Police of Raigad over the phone and informed them about the incident. After that instructions were given to help the accident victims and also directed to provide medical treatment to the injured at government expense. On this occasion, he appreciated the hikers and the IRB team for their immediate relief work after the accident.

During the time of incident, there were 40 to 45 passengers on the bus. 12 to 13 people died and 25 people have been injured in this accident. It has come to light that the accident took place when the driver lost control of the bus while traveling from Pune to Mumbai. The passengers were from the Baji Prabhu Vadak Group from Goregaon. The accident took place when they were going to Goregaon after completing a program in Pune.
