Pune: 14 Cases of Vehicle Theft Solved by Hadapsar Police; Accused Arrested and Goods Worth Rs 10 Lakh Seized

Pune, 6th April 2023: Hadapsar Police have taken action against vehicle theft and exposed 14 cases involving goods worth Rs 10 lakhs. The crackdown comes after Pune Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr ordered strict action to prevent vehicle theft.

The Hadapsar police team, which included Police constables Prashant Dudhal, Anirudh Sonwane, Bhagwan Hambarde, Manoj Suravse, and Amol Danke, conducted anti-theft patrolling in the police station limits when they encountered a suspect with a two-wheeler. The suspect, identified as Parshuram alias Parshya Shivaji More, was brought to the police station for questioning when he gave unsatisfactory answers regarding the vehicle documents. Further investigation led to the discovery that More had stolen two-wheelers from Pune City, Pimpri Chinchwad, Baramati, Solapur, and Karnataka.

Senior Police Inspector Arvind Gokule, in-charge of Hadapsar police station, said that More has several cases of motorcycle theft in Solapur city and rural areas. He has stolen a total of 14 vehicles, including 3 Honda Unicorn, 2 Activa, 2 Hero Honda Passion, 2 Honda Shine, 1 Jupiter, 1 Hero Splendor, 1 Bajaj Platina, 1 Hero Honda Deluxe, and 1 Bullet.

The investigation team included API Vijay Kumar Shinde, Police Sub-Inspector Avinash Shinde, and police personnel Sandeep Rathore, Samir Pandule, Sachin Jadhav, Shahid Sheikh, Prashant Dudhal, Prashant Tonpe, Atul Pandharkar, Bhagwan Humbarde, Anirudh Sonwane, Ajit Madane, Rashid Sheikh, Manoj Survase, Amol Danke, Kundlik Keskar, and Sachin Rejitwad.
