Pimpri-Chinchwad: Shop Employee Detained for Beating Up Cleaner Over Unpaid Salary
Nigdi, 21st March 2023: A disturbing incident has occurred in Pimpri-Chinchwad, where a female cleaner was allegedly assaulted by a male shop employee for demanding her unpaid salary. The incident was captured on CCTV footage, and the accused has been detained by the Nigdi police station, Pimpri Chinchwad police.
The victim, a 42-year-old woman, worked as a cleaner in the transport office located on the first floor of the City Pride building. The man, who also works in the same office, had not paid her salary for the past three months, and when the woman demanded her salary, a minor argument ensued. She hit the accused with a broom and in a fit of rage, he beat her in the face causing injuries and bleeding.
Senior Police Inspector Ranganath Unde has stated that they will extend full cooperation to the victim, and the police are currently investigating the incident. The public is now urging senior police officers to take swift action and ensure that justice is served for the victim.
Police have registered a non-cognisable (NC) case. Further investigation is going on.
