Pune police seize Rs 1.11 crore in old notes of Rs 500, 1000

Pune –  Sleuths from the Crime Branch of Pune city police  on Wednesday  seized Rs 1.11 crore in the banned currencies from a real estate broker in Shivajinagar.

Head constable Shailesh Jagtap from the anti-dacoity cell had received information, following which a team nabbed broker Ankesh Anant Agarwal, a resident of Kharadi,  near the main building of Pune municipal corporation (PMC).

ACP (crime branch) Suresh Bhosale said, “Agarwal had come to meet Kishore Porwal to exchange the currencies at 30 percent commission.  The Income Tax have been intimated about the cash.”
