Pune, 14th January 2023: The Nascent Information Technology Employees Senate (NITES), an association of IT employees, has alleged that IT services company Exusia India Pvt Ltd. has been smuggling money illegally from India to its headquarters in Miami, Florida in the USA.

An investigation has been opened by the US Department of Labor into the company’s use of H1B visa provisions for employees who were relocated from India to the US. TDS was being withheld from employee salaries by the company, but reportedly wasn’t being notified to the Income Tax Department.

The provident fund (PF) money that was withheld from employee salaries by the corporation was also being misused. Along with breaking numerous labor rules, the firm has failed to pay many workers their statutory and required gratuities.

In response to NITES accusations, the Income Tax Department referred the case to the Director General of Income Tax in Pune, and the EPFO and Labour Commissioner Office in Pune served notice on the company.”

The company officials have been asked to appear before the Pune labour officer on January 17.

Rajneesh Kumar, an ex-Project Delivery Manager of Exusia India Pvt Ltd while talking to PunekarNews.in informed, “The company was not depositing the money taken from employee’s salary to Income Tax Department for last three years. I recently resigned from the firm and when they got to know that many employees including me are seeking justice regarding the said issue, they terminated me.”

“I even went to PMO with the said issue and on December 27, 2022, I received the confirmation message that my problem will get resolved soon as they have started looking into the matter,” he added further.
