AZU – The newest rooftop Al fresco restaurant in Pune

The Fern Residency MIDC Pune at Bhosari recently opened their doors to their rooftop Al fresco dining restaurant, AZU – Food Drink Music. The beautiful restaurant opens up to an amazing panoramic skyline of the city of Pune. Equipped with a well stocked bar, coupled with live music, casual dining, it is a place where one can unwind, chill and have a good time.

The restaurant is located on the 5th floor, not very obvious from outside. but as you enter it is calm and subtle to its true nature.  The 100 seater exclusive contemporary up market open air global cuisine restaurant is spread over 4000 square feet.

“AZU offers a selection of cocktails, mocktails and scrumptious global cuisine. The food and drinks have been carefully handpicked from across the globe to mirror the newer trends in the changing tastes of young clientele.Handcrafted drinks, Infused liquors, flight menus which allow you to taste different varieties and our special “small plates” menus, will be a great attraction”, smiles Rajib Das, Operation Manager.

The al fresco dining experience is enhanced by the simple décor in the arbor with wooden furniture, high and low seating, community dining tables and a muted colour theme to reflect a slice of Greece. The paved stone flooring in the dining area, weathered finish of the furniture and fixtures accentuate the guest experience.

Menu at Azu is primarily a la carte. The guest is given an amuse bouche, soon as they are seated. These are delicate morsels of tasty appetizers neatly portioned, just enough to titillate the senses. The food menu will be a collection of the best dishes compiled after careful research, tasting handpicked traditional recipes to suit the modern day palate. The basic division being small plates, these include Gobi bezule, Jaituni murgh tulsi tikka, and offerings from the barbeques and Indian tandoori dishes like Bang bang chicken, Jd lime chicken wings. Azu Chaat Sampler, innovative chats like sweet potato papdi chaat, orange pani poori, will give the guest a wide variety of options to choose from. The small plates concept of appropriate portions for each course will let the patrons experience a number of dishes.

The other part will be “Entrees”, which will be pre-plated or one-pot meals. Purdah Biryani, will be a prominent addition to this section, along with a selection of other dishes. Paneer, paniphal aur kumbh kadai, Quinoa kofta, Seafood moilee, Pind da kukad, Bhuna gosht “Shirazi” are some of the mouth-watering dishes on the menu. “Azu will set the brand standard for rooftop Al fresco dining restaurants and will soon become the talk of the town”, beams Rajib Das.
