Pune, 10th January 2023: According to a statement released by the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA), in February, 5,990 affordable houses will be sold in the Pune area.

2,908 of the 5,990 houses will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis; the remaining houses will be selected through a lottery by the Pune Board of MHADA. On February 17, the lottery’s results will be released.

The 5,990 houses are offered for sale in a variety of price ranges, unit sizes, and income brackets. Economically Weakened Section (EWS), Lower Income Group (LIG), Middle Income Group (MIG), and Higher Income Group are the different income categories (HIG).

Depending on the location, each flat’s unit size ranges from 300 square feet to more than 600 square feet, and its price ranges from Rs 13 lakh to more than Rs 60 lakh. There are apartments for rent in and around Pimpri Chinchwad and Pune.

According to MHADA officials, this will be the first lottery that is conducted online. The administration created a smartphone application last week so that residents could register and apply to buy a flat through a lottery method.

The documents that an applicant must submit after registering online include an Aadhaar card, PAN card, proof of income, etc. Applicants will be qualified to take part in the lottery after their verification.
