Panthers off to a bright start
Pune, 09 January 2023: Prabal Panthers won both their matches, while Aditya AllStars, Niragas Knights and Diamond Daggers registered wins respectively in their respective section on the opening day of the fifth edition of the City Premier League (CPL) Intra-Club 7-A-Side football tournament at the City Sports Arena, Moshi.
The tournament organized by City FC Pune on behalf of Sports Foundation Pune had Prabal Panthers win two of their Under-15 league matches. Prabal Panthers opened with a 2-0 win against Success Strikers with Satvik Nayak (5th) and Raghavendra Shanbhague (18th) scoring and later doubled their success downing Jyoti Jaguars 2-0 after Satvik Nayak (8th) and Aryan Swami (11th) scored a goal each.
In the Under-9 section, Diamond Daggers edged out Prabal Panthers 2-1 and prevented a third win. A brace by Anuj Shirotre (6th, 11th) was enough for Diamond Daggers, while the Panthers reduced the margin through Ayansh Pandhare (9th).
Later, in the Under-11 section, Niragas Knights clung on to a Luv Phulsundar (10th) goal to down GNS Gunners 1-0.
Each match is being played on a 12 minute per half basis, with a total match time of 24 minutes.
