Pune caterer to accept old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes for weddings

Pune camp based Shalimar caterers led by its owner Nusrat Shaikh has started a novel concept of confide fence building amongst the Punekars as his catering firm is accepting old notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 denomination from marriage parties for cash payments of Rs 50,000 and above.

According to Shaikh, the people have been facing incovenience post the demonetisation announcement and are worried as to how their marriage expenditure will be done with old notes. He further said that the quality of food and catering service will not be compromised at any cost and the citizens must come forward with the old notes and deposit them with his firm.
He further explained that the common man has been affected the most in the process and the rich.” There is a palpable fear in their hearts and minds which must be removed and we have already started with the process “, he added.

Shaikh also added that he had surveyed  the market and found that the economy class was the most affected which comprised of casual labours, laundryman, house maid , waiters, cylinder delivery man etc.
