Pune: PCMC To Offer Discounts On ‘Rent’ For Implementation Of Zero Waste Campaign
Pimpri Chinchwad, 2nd January 2023: Till 31st March 2023, a 10 per cent discount will be given on the rent if the citizens, organisations, institutions and companies book the hall, auditorium, and playground of the municipality.
Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh has ordered the administration to provide the citizens and organisations of Pimpri-Chinchwad with a 10 per cent discount on the rental of municipal buildings if they implement the “zero waste campaign.”
The municipality is taking care of the necessary details for the city’s participation in Swachh Survekshan 2023. Emphasis is being placed on implementing various innovative initiatives aimed at reducing waste in the city. A standard operating procedure has been established to implement the zero waste procedure during municipal department programs to cut down on waste.
According to the survey, the commissioner has issued orders to all departments through a circular to follow the standard procedure in municipal programs, such as campaigns, competitions, seminars, lectures, meetings, inaugurations, land worship, and felicitation ceremonies. Special attention has been called to its implementation.
The circular clarifies that it is mandatory for the concerned to implement a zero waste program at this place.
Under the ‘Urban Outwork Frame’, the Municipal Corporation has undertaken the initiative ‘Pimpri-Chinchwad’s contribution will increase its contribution in the survey’. For citizens who participate, prizes of up to 50,000 rupees have been announced. The competition has been organised for the city to get the first rank in the cleanliness survey competition.
