Pune: Traffic Diversion In Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapati Temple Area On 1st January
Pune, 30th December 2022: On the occasion of New Year, the citizens of Pune city go to Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati temple seeking blessings in large numbers. Hence, on 1st January 2023, the Pune City Police Traffic Branch issued orders to change the traffic movement on Shivaji Road.
From 5 pm onwards on 1st January, traffic is being diverted for vehicles other than essential service vehicles like fire brigade vehicles, police vehicles, ambulances, and others till the jam gets over.
Accordingly, DCP (Traffic) Vijay Kumar Magar has informed that the route from Pooram Chowk to Bajirao Road to Shaniwarwada will be closed. Citizens are requested to take the option of going to their desired destination to Alka Talkies Chowk from Tilak Road from Pooram Chowk.
The road from Appa Balwant Chowk to Pasodya Vithoba Chowk is going to be closed; instead, citizens should take the road from Appa Balwant Chowk to Bajirao Road to Gadgil statue and onwards to the desired destination.
The road from SG Barve Chowk to Pune Municipal Corporation and Shaniwarwada will remain closed. Instead, the citizens should go to the desired destination via Jhansi Ki Rani Chowk via SG Barve Chowk- Jangli Maharaj Road.
The road from the Gadgil statue to Rameshwar Chowk will also be closed. Instead of the Gadgil statue, citizens are advised to turn left; hence, they can go to their desired destination from Kumbharwada or Surya Hospital.
