Pune: Building Permission From PMRDA Decentralised, Made Area-Wise

Pune, 20th December 2022: Building permission has been decentralized in the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) area.

 

Accordingly, the responsibility of granting permission has been fixed on various authorities according to the area. The work of granting construction permission has started from 15th December.

 

The total area of PMRDA is 6914.26 square kilometres, and, as per the 2011 census, the total population of the region is 73.21 lakh. Pune Metropolitan Region consists of two Municipal Corporations, seven Municipalities, two Nagar Panchayats, three Cantonment Boards, Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation, Maharashtra Airport Development Corporation (MADC) and 814 villages. From this area, various new and revised proposals are submitted to PMRDA by applicants and architects for obtaining building permits for residential, industrial and commercial use on plots within PMRDA limits.

 

For the convenience of the citizens, the powers to grant area-wise construction permission have been provided for speedy and efficient execution of the proposals received. Revised orders have been issued in this regard.

 

Meanwhile, citizens, as well as concerned architects, come from distant parts of PMRDA for work in the Building Permit Department of PMRDA.

 

Therefore, Metropolitan Commissioner Rahul Mahiwal has suggested that the meeting time for the concerned visitors should be changed from 12 noon to 5 pm. According to PMRDA, the implementation has been started.
