Pune: Two Injured Persons From Trailer Accident Saved By Fire Brigade

Pune, 6th December 2022: On 6th December, at 3:34 am, a large trailer overturned near Jambhulwadi when it was coming to Pune from Satara. The control room of the fire brigade immediately dispatched a team to the location.

 

When the firefighters reached the spot, they saw that the big trailer had overturned and the driver was stuck and injured on the seat in the cabin. Recognizing the seriousness of the incident, talking to the driver and encouraging him, Jawans Shivaji Mujumale and Shivaji Atole immediately used the spreader and cutter of the force, and with the help of a crane, took out the injured driver in 15 minutes. They immediately sent him to the hospital for treatment.

 

A motorcyclist had seen the accident first-hand and jumped off the bridge to save himself. With the help of the citizens present there, the injured bike rider was lifted too. The exact cause of the accident and the names of the two injured persons are yet to be ascertained.

 

The jawans also covered the area with soil to prevent other vehicles from accidents due to the spilt oil from the overturned trailer.

 

Sinhagad fire station officer Prabhakar Umratkar and driver Dnyaneshwar Bathe, as well as Tandel – Shivaji Mujumale and fireman Shivaji Atole and Digambar Vanve, Kalpesh Bangude, and Rajendra Bhilare, were present. The personnel of the PMRDA fire brigade also arrived to help. The police department and the citizens who were present also assisted the firefighters.
