Speaking at a press conference held at the Patrakar Bhavan today (December 2), to inform about this incident, Afrin said that the beauty pageant coach was her regular customer and she got to know about her a year ago through business connections.

The accused woman has a fashion show and event business. In line with that business, she had placed an order for 57 gowns with Afrin, which cost Rs 57,000. Reportedly, the accused only gave Rs 5,000 as an advance. When Afrin called her Assistant to ask for the rest of the money, she told her not to call back and said, “madam will come to your shop and pay the money herself.”

Afrin said, “After this, the accused suddenly entered the shop and shouted that she did not want me to ask for my money. She said that I ruined all the gowns. Saying that she started abusing me by using obscene language. All this happened in my shop and public passages outside the shop. Hence, the shopkeepers around were watching, they also resisted her, but she kept abusing me. After that, when I called 112, the accused ran away from there. So I went to the police station and lodged a complaint against her.”

Pune police have booked the accused for various offences.
