Pune, 27th November 2022:A 10-year-old school student, who went to pick a badminton shuttlecock on the terrace of a house in the Ghorpade slum area of Kadamwakwasti village, got seriously burnt today (Sunday) around 6:30 pm when she got stuck to the electric wires passing through the terrace.

Bhagyashree Dhananjaya Bansode, a resident of Ghorpadevasti Lane No. 11, Kadamwakavasti, has been admitted to a private hospital in the Loni station area for treatment.

Bhagyashree is more than 30 per cent burnt, according to the doctor treating her. Sources have clarified that Bhagyashree Bansode is not in critical condition and will be shifted to Pune for treatment.

As power lines pass through the building where the building stands, the power distribution company should not build the building below the power lines. This was reported in writing. However, Khandare defied the notice of the electricity distribution company and constructed the building.

While some children were playing badminton near the building erected by Mahadev Khandare in defiance of the notice of the electricity distribution company, the badminton players went to the terrace. Bhagyashree went to the building to pick up the shuttlecock. As a four-foot-high fence was erected under the wires on the terrace, Bhagyashree came in contact with live wires. She fell down the stairs due to the shock from the wires.

Realizing this matter, the neighbours immediately shifted Bhagyashree to a private hospital at Loni Station for treatment. Loni Kalbhor Police and Electricity Distribution Company staff have reached the spot and the work of getting information about the accident is going on.
