Pune: Camps In 213 Villages On November 19 For Financial Inclusion

Pune, 18th November 2022: A camp has been organized in 1,294 Gram Panchayats of Pune district under the pilot project ‘Empowerment through Economic Inclusion’ by the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, from 15th October to 26th November 2022.

District Collector Rajesh Deshmukh and ZP CEO Ayush Prasad have appealed to the citizens to attend this camp and fill out the application form for the benefits of various schemes.

21 banks in the district are participating in this. Maharashtra State Government Revenue, Zilla Parishad, Animal Husbandry Department, Agriculture Department and Fisheries Department, as well as village level talathi, gram sevak, ASHA workers, and agricultural assistants, will participate in this campaign. All Tehsildars and Group Development Officers of the district will cooperate with this.

Under this campaign, all the villagers who are eligible for social security schemes like Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Savings Account, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Atal Pension Yojana but who are not yet enrolled in the scheme will be involved to provide the benefits of this scheme. In these gatherings, applications will be accepted for obtaining working capital under the Kisan Credit Card scheme along with crop loans for businesses such as dairy, animal husbandry, goat rearing, poultry and fisheries etc. Loan applications for working capital and business will be accepted under Mudra Yojana and to self-help groups.

These meetings will be held in 213 villages on November 19. The camps are being organized with the cooperation of the district’s leading bank and all the nationalized banks, private banks, cooperatives and rural banks in the district, informed lead district manager (LDM) Shrikant Karegaonkar.

All the citizens of the district should apply and participate in these schemes on the day of the camp organized in their village. The District Collector has further appealed that the employees of the relevant departments should try to get the benefits of this camp to the maximum number of citizens.
