Pune: Maid Arrested For Stealing Silver Ornaments In Koregaon Park
Koregaon Park, 18th November 2022: The Koregaon Park police arrested the maid who was stealing silver ornaments from the bungalow on the pretext of housework. Silver goods worth Rs 65,000 have been seized from her. The theft took place on November 10 in Lane Six of Koregaon Park.
The arrested maid is named Ujjwala Bachute, a resident of Fursungi and a native of Barshi, district Solapur. Hukumchand Kotecha has filed a complaint in this matter.
Kotecha family lives in lane number six in Koregaon Park and hired Ujjwala Bachute to do housework. On November 10, Hukumchand’s wife did not see the silver idols in their house temple. Hence, they got suspicious about the maid Ujjwala.
While investigating the crime in this case, API Dattatray Ligade, Naik Vivek Jadhav, and Pravin Padwal received information that a woman was inspecting the bungalow. Accordingly, the team laid a trap and detained Ujjwala. During interrogation, she confessed to the theft.
The operation was carried out by Deputy Commissioner Smartana Patil, ACP RN Raje, Senior Police Inspector Vinayak Vetal, Police Inspector Dipali Bhujbal, API Dattatraya Ligade, Namdev Khilare, Ramzan Shaikh, Vijay Sawant, Vivek Jadhav, Pravin Padwal, Jyoti Raut, Vaishali Makar.
