86 Trains, Including Pune Trains Affected Due To Mega Block Of 27 Hours For Two Days In Mumbai

Pune, 18th November 2022: Central Railway will operate a mega block of 27 hours on 19th and 20th November.

 

The block will be operated to dismantle Carnac bridge which was made unsafe for road traffic in the month of September this year.

 

The 27hours mega block will start at 11.00pm of 19th Nov and will end at 2.00am of 21st November.

 

On Main line, the block will be operated b/w CSMT and Byculla stations for 17hours. i.e. No train will run b/w CSMT and Byculla stations from 11.00pm of 19th November till 4pm of 20th November.

 

On Harbor line, the block will be operated b/w CSMT and Vadala stations for 21 hours. i.e. No train will run b/w CSMT and Vadala stations from 11.00pm of 19th November till 8pm of 20th November. Mail exp Yard lines will be made available after 27 hours i.e. by 2am of 21st November.

 

 

To avoid inconvenience to the passengers, we will be running suburban trains from Byculla, Parel, Dadar, Kurla Stations towards Thane, Kalyan, Kasara , Karjat side and vice versa.

 

Also, on Harbor line we will be running trains between Vadala and Panvel-Goregaon stations during the block period. As we have limited platforms for reversal of trains at Byculla, Parel, Dadar, Kurla and Vadala Stations, we will be running trains at less frequency. Therefore, we request paseengers to avoid unnecessary crowding at the suburban stations. For the convenience of paseengers, we have requested concerned municipalities to arrange additional buses in block affected areas.

 

To avoid traffic congestion, 18 pairs of Mail Express trains have been cancelled and 68 mail Express trains have been either short terminated or short originated at Dadar, Panvel Pune and Nashik stations.

“We will be opening additional ticket refund counters and also helpdesks at major stations for the convenience of paseengers. We request passengers to check their train status before starting the train journey.” said Railway Officials.
