Pune, 9th November 2022: A low-pressure area has formed over the Bay of Bengal today, and the associated cyclonic circulation extends up to mid tropospheric levels. It’s likely to become more marked during the next 48 hours.

According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), it’s very likely to move northwestwards towards the Tamilnadu-Puducherry coasts from 09th-12th November.

“Under its influence already moisture incursion started in south-central parts of Maharashtra State (including Pune). In the coming days, partly cloudy condition over Pune is very likely, resulting in a marginal rise in night/minimum temperature for a couple of days”, said Dr. Anupam Kashyapi, Head, Weather Forecasting, IMD.
