Pune: PMC Will Do Work Of Wagholi-Lohegaon Circular Road, Rs 211 Crores Expenditure Approved By Estimates Committee

Pune, 3rd November 2022: The work of the 5.7 km circular road connecting the Pimpri-Chinchwad city from Wagholi to Lohgaon on Nagar Road will be done by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). An expenditure of Rs 211 crores is expected for this and the expenditure has also been approved by the Estimates Committee.

 

The municipal administration has claimed that traffic congestion in the Vadgaonsheri area will be reduced due to this circular route. The work of the circular road will be done on Public Private Partnership (PPP) basis, and it is proposed to give a credit note to the developer.

 

 

A circular route is proposed through the municipal limits. For this, the process of land acquisition and survey has started. This circular road is 65 meters wide and goes to Pimpri-Chinchwad city via Wagholi-Lohegaon.

 

Therefore, the Municipal Corporation has taken this decision to solve the traffic congestion in Vadgaon Sheri, Kharadi, and Yerwada areas on the city road. It has been reported by the consultant and the cost has also been approved by the Estimates Committee. The service road work will also be done by the Municipal Corporation.

 

Meanwhile, the rain drains and electricity system will be done. The cost of this work is Rs 212 crore and this road will be developed through credit notes on a public-private partnership basis.
