Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation School Students Produce E-Bikes With Scrap Materials

Pune, 20th October 2022: Students of Pimpri Chinchwad Secondary School, Thergaon, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, made two electric bikes using scrap materials. Interestingly, solar energy is used in these two-wheelers.

 

Students of Pimpri Chinchwad Secondary School are given skill development training in Automotive Service Technician subject under the Samajra Shiksha Abhiyan of the government through Yashaswi Academy for Skills. Under that, the students of the Automotive Service Technician trade of class nine produced electric bikes under the guidance of the college principal Chandrasekhar Kadam and coach Santosh Shendge of Yashasvi Sanstha through innovation concepts under the aim of eco-friendly mobility.

 

 

After the training given to the students, they assembled and matched the spare parts from the scrap to build the bike. It was also successfully tested. The students Hanumant Suravase, Prajnesh Gaikwad, Mayuri Waghmare, and Radhika Pujari participated in this activity. Principal Chandrasekhar Kadam said that making electric two-wheelers by the students of the municipal corporation schools is particularly remarkable. Rajesh Nagre, director of the successful organization, said that due to the skill development training, research skills and innovation among the students have increased from the school level.
