Pune: Lodge Near Pune-Solapur Highway Running Prostitution Business Raided By Police; Four Women Rescued In Operation

Pune, 14th October 2022: A special team of the rural police raided a lodge in Boribhadak village, taluka Daund on the Pune-Solapur highway and rescued four young women engaged in prostitution.

 

Police Inspector Vijay Singh Chauhan of Pune Rural Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) informed that a case has been registered against a total of 6 persons including the lodge owner and manager under the PITA Act.

The police had received information that a prostitution business was going on at a lodge within the limits of Boribhadak village. Accordingly, the police sent a fake customer to the relevant place on Wednesday (October 12).

 

After getting evidence that the prostitution business was going on there, they laid a trap and raided the place unexpectedly in the evening. At that time, four young women were found at that place.
