Pune: Tourist Robbed Near Shaniwarwada Area, Three Arrested
Pune, 10th October 2022: Police arrested three thieves who beat up a tourist and snatched his mobile set from the Shaniwarwada area, including Keshav Ganesh Kathayar (age 22), Alex Vannivami (age 23), and Krishnatul Bahadur Zarga (age 30). Saheb Milan Mallik (age 24, resident of Hadapsar) has filed a complaint at the Faraskhana Police Station.
Kathayar, Vananiwami, and Jharga are of foreign origin. Mallik came to see Shaniwarwada. At that time, the accused stopped him at Gadgil Putla Chowk. After snatching his mobile set, the three ran away.
Mallik went to the Kasba Peth Police Station, some distance away. Faraskhana Police Station Senior Police Inspector Shabbir Syed, Assistant Inspector Santosh Shinde, Sub-Inspector Nilesh Mokashi and Rizwan Jinedi, Mehboob Mokashi, Ganesh Dalvi Praveen Pasalkar, Vaibhav Swami, Mohan Dalvi, Tushar Khadke, and others began an investigation.
