Pune: Police Sub Inspector Arrested For Demanding Bribery
Pune, 2nd October 2022: The Anti-corruption bureau (ACB) has arrested a Police Sub-Inspector who demanded a bribe of Rs one lakh to help in a registered crime. The arrested police sub-inspector has been identified as Amol Patil.
Police Sub-Inspector Amol Patil and Junnar Taluka Bar Association President Adv. Ketan Kumar Padwal demanded a bribe of Rs one lakh. A complaint was lodged with the ACB. No actual trap operation could take place, but when verified, it was found that the culprit asked for a bribe after which the ACB registered a case against Amol Patil and Adv. Ketan Kumar Padwal. Patil has been arrested and is currently being taken to court.
