Traffic Jams Across Pune City, Motorists Suffer Due To Potholes And Rain
Pune, 18th September 2022: Motorists had to face a lot of problems on Saturday evening due to traffic jams across the city. Deccan Gymkhana, Karve road, Fergusson road, and Ganeshkhind road were troublesome. It took drivers half an hour to cover a distance of five to 10 minutes.
Sporadic showers of rain fell in the city on Saturday evening. Due to the rain, many people got out in cars. A large number of cars on the road added to the dilemma.
Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had a program at an educational institute in the Kothrud area. As the Deputy Chief Minister’s convoy was going, there were temporary changes in the traffic routes in Paud Road and Karve Road areas. Traffic control lights at important intersections were switched off. Officials of the traffic department informed that the heavy number of cars on the road has added to the dilemma of the rain. Major roads in the city are potholed due to the rain.
Due to potholes, the speed of traffic was extremely slow. There was a traffic jam at Shastri road, Tilak road, and Shankarsheth road. On Saturday evening, traffic jams were seen across important roads in the city.
