Pune: Woman Cheated Of Rs 44 Lakh Under Business Investment Scheme For Good Returns
Pune,20th August 2022: It has come to light that a woman was cheated for Rs 44 lakh with the lure of a return on investment. A case has been registered against the three persons in this case by Uttamnagar police station under Pune city police.
The FIR has been registered against Anna Durai, Kartik Anna Durai (both residents of Bhadravati, Karnataka), Devangbhai Maheshbhai Rawal (resident of Gujarat).
According to police, the complainant woman was introduced to the accused through an acquaintance. The accused had shown the lure of investment in the business. It was claimed by the accused that precious metals are being found in the mining business in Karnataka and that the metal is worth crores of rupees. If she invests in the business, she will be given a huge return. The accused had promised that if she invests Rs 44 lakh, she can get a return of up to Rs 50 crores.
Women fell victim to the lure of the accused. The woman periodically deposited Rs 44 lakh in the bank account of the accused. Meanwhile, the woman was not given any refund after depositing the money. After realizing the fraud, she lodged a complaint with the police. After that, a case was registered in this case. The assistant police inspector is investigating the case.
