Pune, 27th June 2022: After its first electric bus, ‘Shivai’; Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) will launch its ‘e-Shivneri’ bus in Pune. For the same, the Pune division will soon get 96 e-Shivneri buses from MSRTC.
There will be 17 charging stations across Pune, and work for the same is in progress. From Pune, these e-buses will travel to Dadar, Parel, Thane, and Borivali. Meanwhile, after a great response to Shivai, the production of these e-buses started in Hyderabad.
These e-buses will be much more advanced than the previous buses and comfortable compared to Shivai buses. There is a possibility that the previous Shivneri buses will be out of service soon.
