Pune: Movie Writer Got Robbed of Rs 10 Lakhs And Six Hard Disks Containing ‘Pakhwaj’ Film Data

Pune, 6th June 2022: In a shocking incident, ten to twelve people threatened a film writer with stones and snatched away Rs 10 Lakh and a few documents from him. The mob also took six hard disks containing ‘Pakhvaj’ film data and fled away.

 

The incident took place at Somatane Phata on the highway at around 4.30 pm on Saturday. A case of robbery was registered at Talegaon Dabhade police station on Sunday.

 

After the incident, Shankar Nivruti Bhendekar, a resident of Pimpri, lodged a complaint at the Talegaon Dabhade Police Station.

 

Police have arrested Limbaji Bhimrao Mundhe (38), Sangram Ashok Mundhe (26), residents of Somatne Phata, Dnyaneshwar Bajrang Sakat (19), resident of Shirgaon, Sumit Suresh Kadam (23), resident of Maval Godumbre, Amar Marappa Waghmare (30), resident of Mamurdi, Dehuroad.

 

According to the police, the complainant Shankar Bhendekar is a movie writer. Limbaji Mundhe had paid for the film. Therefore, Bhendekar went in front of Limbaji’s office on Saturday afternoon to exchange data with money from Limbaji, but instead, the accused threatened Bhendekar with stones.

 

Police have arrested five people in connection with the robbery so far. Sub-Inspector Mahesh Matkar is investigating further.
