Pune: Minor Girl’s Father Forces Her To Marry Against Her Will For Rs 2 Lakh, FIR Registered
Pune, 2nd June 2022: A minor girl’s father forced her to marry against her will. Reportedly, he went to Aurangabad with his 17-year-old daughter and took Rs two lakh along with a two-wheeler from his soon-to-be son-in-law.
A 34-year-old woman has lodged a complaint at the Kondhwa police station (Pune City Police) in this regard. A case has been registered against her 54-year-old husband.
According to the information given by the police, the complainant and her 54-year-old husband have a 17-year-old daughter. He went to Aurangabad in August 2017 with the intention of marrying her. She was forced to marry a young man named Sadik from Aurangabad. In return, he took Rs 2 lakh and a two-wheeler from Sadik.
When the girl objected to the marriage, he beat her. The girl took the opportunity to return to her mother in Pune. After knowing about the incident, her mother then rushed to the police station and filed a complaint. Assistant Police Inspector Dagade is investigating the case further.
