Pune: Elderly Couple On Morning Walk Hit By Speeding Car In Wanwadi Area, Woman Dead
Pune, 28th May 2022: An elderly couple was hit by a speeding car in Wanwadi. The woman died while her husband was injured in the accident. The motorist was arrested in the case.
Vishwambhari Narendrasingh Negi (60), a resident of Tatya Tope Society, Wanwadi is the name of the deceased woman.

Narendra Singh Negi (63) was injured in the accident. He is undergoing treatment at a private hospital. In this regard, Negi’s son Dr Pankaj Singh Negi (32) has lodged a complaint at Wanwadi Police Station. Motorist Popat Nivruti Madane (40), a resident of Surakshanagar, Vaiduvadi, Hadapsar has been arrested in this case.
The Negi couple had gone for a walk around 6.30 am. The couple was hit by a speeding car near Alankar Lawn in the vicinity of the State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) campus. The couple, who were critically injured in the accident, was rushed to a hospital. Vishwambhari died during the treatment.
The passing car driver was arrested after the accident. Police Sub-Inspector Santosh Gaikwad is investigating the case.
