Pune: Youth Drowned In Khadakwasla Dam Water While Swimming, Friends Were Making Video
Khadakwasla, 8th May 2022: An 18-year-old youth drowned while swimming in the Khadakwasla Dam backwater on Saturday evening. His friends were making a video of him jumping into the water.
The deceased has been identified as Ashish Subhash Furange (18), a resident of Karve Nagar.
According to the police, Furange had gone swimming with his two friends. He climbed the wall of the pumphouse so that his friend could film a video of him jumping into the water. He jumped into the water but he did not come up on the water surface. After some time, his friends raised an alarm.
Police called PMRDA’s Nanded City Fire Brigade to search for Furange. His body was fished out later. The body was sent to Sassoon Hospital for an autopsy to ascertain the cause of death.
