Pune, 2nd May 2022: A man named Pavan Shinde took to Twitter to share his discontent and the bad experience that he had with Pune Railway Station. On April 30, in a series of tweets addressed to Railway Seva, he shared his grievances.

Pavan tweeted, “@RailwaySeva I had a very bad experience on Pune railway station. Unfortunately, I need to say that the government officers working in the Luggage and Parcel Department are all corrupt and disloyal towards their work. #Shame on Pune Railways.”
“I parcelled my bike from Pune to Ahmedabad by Railways. Railways have given tender to a private company for packing the bike. The people over there are overcharging and the onboard price is different. They are taking an amount of Rs. 550 to 600 from the passengers and are also giving some offers to people saying that if you want your vehicle on your destination within 1 day, then give us Rs. 3000. If you directly book tickets by yourself then Indian Railways will deliver your bike after 30 working days,” he said.
He further tweeted, “This is all I have observed there. They are scamming us by taking extra money and splitting it in their group which includes the chief luggage officer. #Shame on Pune Railway.”
Addressing Pavan’s tweets, the RailwaySeva tweeted, “For necessary action escalated to the concerned official @Drmpune.”
The Divisional Railway Manager of Pune Railway is Renu Sharma, She addressed RailwaySewa’s tweet on May 1 and said, @deecogpune Kindly look into it.”
Further action on this matter is yet to be taken.
