5 students killed in accident on Mumbai-Pune Expressway near Kamshet

Pune : In a major accident, five college students died  while one is seriously injured, after their car hit an unidentified from behind.

The accident took place around 3 am on Tuesday near Pawna police outpost at Kamshet on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway.

Police said that the Maruti Ciaz car (MH 14 EU 7038) was travelling towards Pune when it reportedly hit another vehicle ahead of it in the middle lane of the Expressway. Due to high speed the car turned resulting in death of three students on the spot. Three others were rushed to Lokmanya Hospital in Nigdi, where two of them succumbed to their injuries.
