MNS Pune City President Vasant More To Defy Raj Thackeray’s ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ Statement, Two Muslim Leaders Resign

Pune, 5th April 2022: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Thackeray’s statement of playing Hanuman Chalisa infront of mosques if loudspeakers are not removed, is showing signs of internal conflict in the party.

MNS Pune city president Vasant More disagreed with Thackeray’s statement. “I will not play Hanuman Chalisa in front of mosques in my ward. Many Muslims vote for me.’’

He also clarified that he is not angry with Raj Thackeray or the party, but is very confused about what role he should play after the statement made by the party chief.

Meanwhile, MNS Shakha Pramukh of Pune city Majid Shaikh and another leader Shaibaz Punjabi have resigned from the party over Thackeray’s statement.
