Pune: Young Boy Lost His Life At Kedari Swimming Pool In Wanowrie

Pune, 21st March 2022: On Sunday, a young boy lost his life while swimming at the Bapusaheb Kedari swimming pool in Wanowrie. The exact cause of the death is still unknown.

It is reported that the residents along with the other swimmers have complained to the authorities stating that the pool was full to its capacity. There were no lifeguards found around the pool also the tubes were found deflated as well. The swimmers complained to the authority saying that the responsibility of looking after the individuals lies with the contractor.

The pool manager informed that the lifeguards were around the pool and as it was Sunday, there was a lot of crowds who came for swimming.

Santosh Varule from the sports department of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) stated, “PMC will issue a notice and demand an explanation from the contractor in this regard.”
