Pune: Local Goons Terrorise Residents And Traders In Dhanori

Vishrantwadi, 21st January 2022: In the Dhanori area, local goons have been threatening traders and residents, demanding extortion money, and molesting women and girls.

On the day of Makar Sankranti, a similar gang of thugs damaged shops with weapons and created panic. The locals are suffering due to a serious problem as the Vishrantwadi police station are ignoring it unforgivably. No one, including local MPs, is ready to take action.

For the past few days, traders and residents of the area have been harassed by local goons. Alcohol abuse, noise from two-wheelers, harassment of women and girls, and extortion are rampant. On the day of Makar Sankranti, when there were women and girls, Akshay Navgire and Prajwal Shinde and their associates created terror.

Questions like ‘Who exactly helps these hooligans? Why are they bullying?’ are being raised in this regard. The locals said that they were not getting any help from the local corporator, MLA, or any people’s representative in this serious matter. No one dares to complain because of the terror of these hooligans.

The Vishrantwadi police are ignoring this serious issue and the locals from the Munjaba Vasti area have demanded strict legal action in this regard in a written statement to the Vishrantwadi police.
