Pune: Getting A Call For A Booster Dose? Be Careful This Can Be A Cyber Fraud

Pune, 19th January 2022: Cybercriminals are now using a new trick to hack bank accounts of citizens, by offering to provide booster doses against Coronavirus disease (COVID19).

The hacker will call you and tell you the exact dates of vaccination, and will then request you over the phone to get a third booster dose to avoid the omicron infection.

In the name of registration, he will ask for the OTP. Then he will hack the mobile after you send him an OTP and withdraw money from the bank account.

Such cases have been reported to Alephata police station in Junnar tehsil of Pune district. The police appealed to everyone to be aware of such cyber fraud.
