Aim is to Make a 5 Trillion-Dollar Economy in the Next 5 Years: Nitin Gadkari

Pune, 21st December 2021: We have set multiple targets in the coming years. By the year 2027 we have a target of the “Net Zero Emission” which is a challenge to achieve. India is a fastest growing economy and our aim is to make it a 5 trillion-dollar economy in the next 5 year said Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India during 12th Annual International Research Conference organized by Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies. Gandakri was invited as the Chief Guest for the Function.

 

Speaking at the conference, Gadkari said, because of Covid multiple infra projects were delayed but now we are settling. There is a lot of traffic movement from North India to South India. We are building a Green highway from Surat, Gujrat which will solve the traffic problem in Pune and Mumbai.

 

There is a wide scope for involvement of the youth i.e. the new engineers in the infra projects. Their talent can be used for the cost analysis, time management and improvement in the quality of construction Gadkari added further.

 

Gadkari mentioned multiple other initiatives such as developing integrated inland waterways, Fast tag at all the toll ways, Improving the efficiency of logistics, designing a market policy which is market friendly etc.

 

During his speech Gadkari also said that there should be knowledge of the economic viability of the technology. India is the largest EV market for electric vehicles. This is the best choice as compared to the traditional source of energy.

 

We are giving Special push for ethanol instead of petrol which is environment friendly and also cheap in price. The additional income can be diverted to the farmers. It’s the fuel for the future. We are promoting Green hydrogen for railways and marine Gadkari added further.

 

Dr. S. B. Mujumdar, Founder and President of Symbiosis and Chancellor, Symbiosis International University in his speech said, Gadkari has the confidence to stand alone. He has compassion to listen to others and a rare gift to think out of the box. Shri. Gadkari and his Management which we call “Gadkari Management” is the ideal case study for the students of Symbiosis. He has his own way of thinking which is innovative.
