Rutuja Bhosale emerges winner at Jamshri Solapur Open

Solapur, 12th December 2021: Top-seeded Rutuja Bhosale came from a set and break down against the 6th seed Vaidehi Chaudhari before eventually winning 4-6 7-5 6-1 and claiming the women’s singles title at the Jamshri Solapur Open organised by Solapur district Lawn Tennis Association and MSLTA and being played at the MSLTA Solapur District Complex.

It was Rutuja Bhosale’s fourth title of her career, Bhosale who is supported by MSLTA, Lakshya and Bharat Forge took just over 2 hours to get past her young opponent from Gujarat who was playing her first ever final.

The winner got $955 and 10 WTA points while the runners up got $515 and 6 WTA points. The prizes were given away at the hands of Bimladevi Damani from Jamshri, Harish Baijal, Commissioner of Police Solapur. Ram Reddy Tournament Director and Jt Secretary Of MSLTA Rajiv Desai, Jt Secretary of Solapur District Lawn Tennis Association Pankaj Shah.
