780 candidates attended Convocation program by ICAI
8 Jan 2019, Pune: More than 780 candidates attended convocation program organized by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). This convocation ceremony was held on Friday at Bunts Sangha Pune, Mumbai-Bangalore Highway, Baner. Approximately 850 parents also attended this event and appreciated their students. Pradeep Rawat, former MP and CA Prafulla P. Chhajed, President of ICAI were present as a Chief Guest for the program. CA Chandrashekhar V. Chitale, Member, Central Council of the ICAI and WRO Convocation Co-ordinator, Pune, CA Shriniwas Joshi, CCM of ICAI, CA. Umesh Sharma, Vice Chairman of WIRC, CA Yashwant Kasar, treasurer of WIRC, CA Ruta Chitale, Chairperson, Pune Branch of WIRC of ICAI alongwith other dignatories graced the event were present.
CA Prafulla Chhajed congratulated to all newly qualified CA’s and their efforts for becoming CA. He mentioned the importance of hard work, smart work and sincerity. He highlighted the statement of Prime Minister of INDIA, Narendra Modi Ji that the signature of CA is more powerful than his signature. For better future he advised that knowledge should be up to date and technically sound. In continuation he suggested that for rendering better service to the nation be ethical and be excellence. He also mentioned that currently Indian population is approx. 130 Cr and only 3.15 Lakhs CA’s are there to serve this population. So there are vast opportunities available for CA’s. President informed that ICAI Council is always working for betterment for CA profession and taking challenges across the globe to build the skillsets of members to ready to take those challenges.
ICAI council will begin to develop various audit tools that can be used by distinguish by the members. ICAI is also building knowledge hub and developing digital learning hub for the benefits of students and members to develop their skills. ICAI signed MRA’s and MOU’s with different countries for better opportunities to Indian CA’s across the globe. Lastly he advised that in future life be sincere and never stop learning new things to become more successful, he added.
Pradeep Rawat in his speech he shared various examples and thoughts of well-known personalities. He advised that in current era we must be alert and always up to date with knowledge. He mentioned that never be afraid for change and change for better is very important in the life. At the conclusion he suggested, try to do the efforts, commitments and sincerity for becoming part of great nation.
CA Chandrashekhar Chitale welcomes all the dignitaries, newly qualified CA’s and parents. He mentioned about ICAI, initiatives taken by the ICAI and importance of Unique Document Identification Number (UDIN). Also, he gave oath to all the newly qualified CA’s. CA Ruta Chitale gave vote of thanks.
