55 Pune Scientists Among 4.6K From India Featured In Stanford University Ranking 2023
Pune 11th Oct 2023: The Pune city known as ‘Oxford of the East’ for best education system is also known for top class scientists and research institutes. In the recently released ranking of the Stanford University for 2023, a total of 55 experts of the city from different fields have been featured in the list of top 2 percent scientists around the world.
Among those who have been featured in the list from Pune include 18 scientists from Savitribai Phule Pune University, 14 from National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), 10 from Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), 4 from Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), 3 from Bharati Vidyapeeth, 2 from DY Patil 1 each from Symbiosis International University, College of Engineering Pune (COEP), KEM Hospital and Pure Foundation.
A total of 4,635 scientists from different fields from India have been featured in the list this year while 210,199 scientists from around the world are in the list.
