53 persons taken ill after consuming Kulfi at marriage ceremony
Pune – As many as 53 persons including 28 children were taken ill after consuming Kulfi at a marriage function in Rahatani on Sunday night. Police said that their condition is said to be out danger.
A wedding function was going on at Thopte Lawns in Rahatani. The incident took place around 8.30 pm when people including 12 men, 13 women, 16 boys and 12 girls had consumed Kulfi. They were rushed to YCM hospital in Pimpri and Aundh Civil hospital. Many of them have been discharged from hospital.
Wakad police have detained two caterers in this connection and sample of the Kulfi has been sent to laboratory for testing.
